Agatha Jackson or Aunty Gatha as she was affectionately called, was born on the Island of Jamaica. She was a woman of strong faith in God and she was a prayer warrior. She did not have biological children, perhaps by divine design, because she became a mother to orphans, her nieces, her nephews, and any child who needed a home, motherly love, or a delicious meal. She loved ALL children as if she had given birth to them.
Agatha Jackson loved children (this is worth repeating)! She joyfully cared for, nurtured, and ensured every child in her care received a good educational start. One orphan that was a recipient of this woman’s love is Gloria Jackson-McLean. Gloria believes that the most appropriate way to honor her mother and keep her legacy alive is to create the Agatha Jackson Life Enrichment Network and pay it forward for children in Jamaica.
